Our Story
the organization operates as an umbrella and networking body for NGOs and CBOs. it solicits donations and sponsorships to make grants to organization, pay school fees and provide learning materials for school going children. to provide advocacy/information/advice. to provide food and other necessities to community.

St. Anne's Rehabilitation Centre (ST.ARC) is a Non-Governmental Organization registered with the NGOs Board under Certificate no: OP.218/051/18-235/11343 Dated 6th September 2019. The organization is registered to operate in five counties in Kenya mainly Nairobi, Mombasa, Machakos, Kakamega and Nakuru. The organization capacity is registered to work internationally in partnership with various agencies and governments

St. Anne's Rehabilitation Centre was established in the year 1993 in Mathare Mabatini and in the year 2002 in Dandora phase 2 in Nairobi Kenya. The organization got its registration in the year 2008 as Self-help group, renewed its registration in the year 2016 as a community based organization.

In the year 2018, the organization registered and became an NGO in Kenya. The organization since 2019 has continued to operate its activities in Kenya mainly in Nairobi county. The organization is currently working in partnership with individuals and agencies to operate it activities of supporting orphans and vulnerable children in Dandora phase two and Mathare Mabatini and Education services through school program both Primary, Junior secondary schools, High schools and collages.
Objectives

To take such steps by personal or written appeals, private meetings, public meetings or representations to Parliament, government entities and other bodies as may be deemed expedient to promote any of the objects of the Organization.

The explanation on how worse the condition is when children are left homeless to pick dirt from dumpsite areas which is later taken for recyclig. Their aim is to make a living with no education. But with proper care and education they become a people in the society
Our Services
The nature of the organization is to provide Education, prevent drugs and alcohol addiction, create HIV/AIDS awareness / mitigation, relief of poverty and support welfare programs. The organization targets caregivers from vulnerable groups (OVCs, Elderly, and PLWAS), Children in general, elderly people, orphans and vulnerable children, the poor in general, women and the youths.
EDUCATION PROGRAM
Education is the key to successes. When children are educated they will change the society and bring develop-ment improving livelihood.
When children are not educated then vices follow such as early and unplanned pregnancy among girls, increased ill health and malnutrition, drug and substance abuse, increased crimes and prostitution among women.
The center supports education for all children from age of school to 25 years. The Centre needs payment for the school fees and supplies for their necessities such as food, clothes and books among others.
FEEDING PROGRAM
The institution has two types of feeding program

Normal school lunch feeding program for all children who comes to school from Monday to Friday
In 2024 the Centre provides feeding program to 253 chil-dren with lunch during school learning days. The orphanage has 108 fully integrated orphans, abandoned and vulnerable children who are provided with 4 meals a day.

THE CENTRE ACTIVITIES
1. Providing primary, JSS and Secondary education services.
2. Providing rescue services to orphans and vulnerable children within the institution and those integrated to kinship, foster parenting or adoption
3. Providing feeding program to orphans and vulnerable children and poor children within our operating regions
4. Providing lunch to all school going children and food baskets to community where children are supported
5. Counseling and guidance to children and guardians
6. Educating children on sexual reproductive to delay in early sex and concentrate in learning, prevent HIV and AIDs infection, sexually transmission infection and early/unplanned pregnancy. And effects of drugs and substance abuse prevention.
SCHOOL PROGRAMS
The institution during school days and weekends provide various programs to pupils to build them socially, mentally, physically and spiritual wellbeing
Socially the children are natured on how to relate to each other in a godly way. The institution focuses at creating good behavior and building a godly character in the mind of the children at school and home
Physical the children are helped to realize their talents and gifts through varies sports, games and art. The staff helps children develop their full potential in the art, gifting and talents.
Mentally the children are natured at each level and allowed to grow and be ready to meet life challenging situations. The institution provides formal educative system as per the government requirement and also has system of enabling the children learn history and be aware of the past, present and future. They are counseled depending on their ages.
The institution supports community initiated programs through the institution beneficiaries. The institution has specific programs to support their parents, guardians and caregivers to be able to improve their livelihood and help the children grow in an environ-ment of discipline. The program is aimed at helping the pupils to be good citizen, people who cannot indulge in drug substances, prostitution, and crimes among other vises. It supports the par-ents, guardians or caregivers to be an example in discipline and economic independence to the orphans and vulnerable children under their care.

The Board & Ceo/Director​
The Board is responsible for the daily operations of the children's home, ensuring that the facility runs smoothly and efficiently.

This includes hiring, training, and managing staff members who work directly with the children. The Board ensures that staff meet the needs of the children and adhere to policies and regulations.

Head Master, School Staff, Parents and Gardians
The Headmaster provides overall leadership, setting the school’s vision and ensuring it aligns with the needs of the orphaned children. ​Responsible for administrative functions, including staffing, budgeting, and policy implementation. Acts as a key advocate for the children, ensuring their educational and emotional needs are met.

Teachers and support staff are responsible for delivering education and providing emotional and social support to the children. ​Staff members often focus on the unique needs of each child, fostering a nurturing environment.​​ Work together to create a safe, inclusive atmosphere where children can thrive academically and socially.

Although not biological parents, they play a vital role in providing emotional support and stability. ​Can advocate for the children's needs, ensuring their voices are heard within the school environment. ​Engaging in school activities and programs to foster a sense of community and belonging.

Guardians, often relatives or appointed caregivers, ensure the children’s basic needs are met and provide a stable home environment. They help reinforce the importance of education and encourage participation in school activities. Act as a bridge between the school and the children, facilitating communication regarding progress and needs.

Financial Officer, Donors, Members and Stakeholders
Responsible for developing and managing the school’s budget, ensuring funds are allocated effectively. Prepares financial statements and reports for transparency and accountability. Monitors and manages the school’s financial resources, ensuring compliance with regulations and donor requirements.

Donors Provide essential financial resources that help sustain the school’s programs and services for orphaned children. Often engage with the school through events, fostering a sense of community and support. Can help raise awareness about the school’s mission and needs, attracting more support.

Members, often part of a governing body or support group, actively contribute to decision-making processes. Help organize fundraising events and initiatives to gather resources for the school. Provide insights and recommendations to enhance the school’s operations and effectiveness.

Manager, Hospital, School and The Orphanage
The Manager responsible for the day-to-day management of the orphan school, ensuring efficient functioning. Oversees staff activities, schedules, and training to provide a supportive environment for children. Implements educational and developmental programs tailored to the needs of orphaned children.

Hospital Provides medical care and health services to orphaned children, addressing their physical and mental health needs. Offers vaccinations, health check-ups, and education on hygiene and nutrition. Collaborates with schools to ensure children receive necessary health education and support.

The School Provides academic instruction and resources, ensuring children receive a quality education. Fosters a safe environment for social interaction and personal growth. Implements programs to help children transition successfully into society and further education.

The Orphanage Provides a stable living environment for orphaned children, meeting their basic needs such as food, shelter, and safety. Offers counseling and emotional support to help children cope with their backgrounds. Works collaboratively with educational institutions and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care and support for children.
